Welcome to the prophetic exegesis of the Books of Samuel. 1 & 2 Samuel were originally one continuous scroll; however we will continue to keep them separate and provide each book with their respective PDF.
You will be introduced to Samuel, the Seer. What is a seer? The simple answer is a seer sees. This spiritual insight may come through visions, divine revelations, prophecies, and hearing the voice of God audibly.
“(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God,
thus he spake,
Come, and let us go to the seer:
for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)
1 Samuel 9:9
In 1 Samuel, you will witness the promotion of the flesh through a king desired by the people; in 2 Samuel you will study the accounts of an anointed king after God’s own heart who allowed his flesh to become a stumbling block in his latter days reminding me of a scripture in Galatians 5:7: “Ye did run well, who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?
Amongst all the fighting, there is a scripture that appears to be overlooked which we will study in the next lesson where the message won’t get lost in the scuffle, 2 Samuel 5:7, “Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.”
