Prior to launching into our study of Ezra, an inquiry was made regarding the “covenant of salt.” Often after a lecture when we’ve had time to review a previous lesson a question arises that seems to have only scratched the surface of an underlying matter. It’s important to research the thing that may seem unimportant yet lingers in the back of our minds especially when it comes to something that we’ve heard about, but we haven’t had the necessary facts to satisfy our curiosity as to whether or not what we’ve heard is true or a fabrication of the truth.
The answer to this inquiry sets the tone for Ezra allowing us to continue to build upon the prophetic exegesis of hidden revelations in the Word of God.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
A workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
Rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”
